Right in the opening contest of the rainy Topoľčany meeting, spectators could applaud the success of the local colors of NŽ Topoľčianky and the first triumph of Jaroslav Línek. The most experienced Slovak jockey did not hesitate in the Machulince Municipality Prize (V. cat., 1250 m, €1600) and guided Peter Kubík’s trainee VIVA FRITZ to the finish six lengths ahead of the rest of the field.
The second race, the Lovce Municipality Prize (III. cat., 2200 m, €2800), also bore Línek’s signature. The first two places were taken by his trainees LUCAS and BATHALOLA, with the 4-year-old chestnut LUCAS, bred by Mrs. Viera Moncmanová, carrying nine kilograms less and ridden by amateur Nikola Miklová.
Jaroslav Línek added two more wins in a dual role as jockey and trainer with representatives of the KT OBAL stable. The 4-year-old STRACCIATELLA recorded her first career victory in the Topoľčianky Municipality Prize (V. cat., 1780 m, €1300), the most heavily contested race of the day.
